Original patch progression with broken Vashj and KT? 2.4.3 balancing with the original launch content that people will blow through in 2 weeks? Let’s get the ideas flowing in here early so we can push Blizzard in the right direction. I’m sure people will nitpick these choices, but I’m more curious what specific ideas the rest of you have for how the phases should look. Phase 4: Zul Aman and Mount Hyjal (ZA before BT so the gear will be more relevant and it won’t just be an ez catch-up raid) Phase 3: Arena season 2 and the opening of Tempest Keep 25 and SSC. Phase 2: Introduce the revamped Outland factions as they did around the BT patch(Ethereum Prison, Skettis, Netherdrakes, Ogri’la), and the Lordaeron arena.

Phase 1: TBC launch with 2.4.3 talents, all of the heroics and whatnot (minus Magister’s Terrace), badge gear as it was on day 1, arena season 1, and only the T4 raids available. In light of that, here’s the rough order I think the content should be released: Assuming one or both of those things are true, the original release schedule won’t work at all, since people will burn through to T6 before Black Temple is even released. However, in a classic TBC the content, particularly T5, will almost certainly be released post-nerf (this is 2020 Actiblizz we’re dealing with), and attunements will likely be nerfed as well. This worked fine in 2007 because T5 was broken and the attunements gated people long enough that the content was able to last. When TBC came out, it launched with T4, T5, and Mount Hyjal all available from day one. Of particular interest to me is the content release schedule, specifically along the lines of the “phases” as we’ve come to know them. So with all the news surrounding these surveys going out, I think we should talk about some of the other details of a classic TBC launch so that Blizzard can get it right.
